Kayak (white water)

What do "glacier tongue", "snail shuffle" or "apothecary" have to do with water sports?

These are sounding names of obstacles, waves or rollers on the Möll River, which in the Tschochtan section of the river get the adrenaline pumping in the veins of true whitewater fans.

A strong current creates waves and rollers and those who can, playfully move through the kayak course. At the end waits a massive wave named after the female water spirit Rusalka.

Rafting, Canyoning & Rubber Dinghy

Water sports along the Möll and Drau rivers

Thrilling waves and picturesque river landscapes - the white water rafting experience represents the ideal combination for all nature lovers and adventure sports enthusiasts.

Rafting

White water rafting requires coordination and team spirit - anyone who has once sat together with others in an inflatable boat and fought against the elemental force of the water will not forget this experience again so quickly. That's why white water rafting tours are increasingly booked not only by families and groups of friends, but also for team events or bachelor parties.

Canyoning

Due to the beauty of the gorges, rivers and streams, canyoning has become a popular sport.

By abseiling, climbing down, jumping, sliding, swimming and sometimes even diving, you get through the canyons in suitable equipment. Team spirit and mutual trust play an important role in this sport.

Canoe & Stand-Up Paddling

Tours along the Drava

For canoeing and stand-up paddling, rivers such as the Drava and small lakes are used in the Hohe Tauern National Park Region.

Canoeing

On a canoe tour on the Drava, things are a bit more contemplative and leisurely. The designation "hiking river" is 100% accurate, because the 55 km long upper Drau valley is one of the most charming and ecologically valuable river landscapes in Europe.

Canoeing is one of those outdoor sports where the focus is on experiencing nature. Rivers and small lakes are used for canoeing in the Hohe Tauern National Park Region.

Stand-Up Paddling

Water sports on the river are even more challenging, if in doubt we recommend booking a course. Please observe the safety instructions!

Wakeboard

Wakeboard / lift facility at the Gößnitzsee lake

Carinthia's first and so far only wakeboard park opened on July 27, 2013 at Gößnitzsee near Stall in Mölltal. The wake park is thus the only opportunity so far to wakeboard on the cable in Carinthia.

Wakepark

Carinthia's first wakeboard facility is located at Gößnitzsee, which provides a lot of fun at the lake with a swimming beach, slacklines, a miniramp, trampoline and a beach volleyball court. The facility is open during the summer months from Friday to Sunday (other days on request) from 11 am to 6 pm. There is also plenty of equipment to borrow (wakeboard, kiteboard, wakeskate, surfboard, water ski, tires).

At Wakestall, action sports are very important and those who want to chill out afterwards can look forward to the sunbathing lawn or the cozy chill-out area with seating furniture and good sound.
