Skiing and ski vacations in the Hohe Tauern National Park

Whether skiing on the piste or freeriding

The main thing is outdoors and the highest peaks of the country always in sight. When the air is cold enough to cut and the days are dominated by the two most beautiful colors of winter - white and blue - then you are on ski vacation in the Hohe Tauern National Park.

The four ski areas in the Hohe Tauern National Park region are the highest in the whole of Carinthia and guarantee guaranteed snow, which is additionally supported by snow-making facilities. They offer a successful mix of clarity and variety. Here, family runs alternate with freeride zones, so that both carvers and powder fans get their money's worth.

Skiing and winter vacations in the Hohe Tauern National Park region in Carinthia

Nature experience instead of slope party

Skiing in the Hohe Tauern National Park: this is a "winter" sporting experience as it should be. We don't do much artistry, nature sets the tone and makes the rules. In the ski areas from Heiligenblut to Emberger Alm, sport and alpine experience dominate. We don't have the most kilometers of slopes or après-ski temples, but you can expect guaranteed snow, long seasons and wonderful, open skiing space.

WHAT A REAL POWDER FAN SAYS

FREERIDER

"For many years I had no idea what a powder wonderland was hidden on the south side of the Alps. Far too often I struggled to find the "first line" in the better-known ski resorts. In the Ankogel/Mallnitz ski area, I found what I was looking for. Beautiful, wide powder slopes to far above the tree line and snow safety speak from my soul. I will certainly come again, hopefully not too many do the same to me ..."!
