Tobogganing - Rapidly from the mountain to the valley

Tobogganing is a winter pastime enjoyed by young and old alike.

When you and your children speed down the mountain into the valley, there's certainly no shortage of fun - in addition to the impressive nature through which you are hurtling down into the valley. Mallnitz, Flattach, Obervellach, Winklern, Rangersdorf and Heiligenblut are the tobogganing centers of the Hohe Tauern National Park region. Partly illuminated, sometimes shorter - sometimes longer, with toboggan rental, transportation and refreshments - there is something for everyone.

Winter hiking in great nature

It can also be done comfortably: without stress, hustle and bustle and without adrenaline rushes.

While others are climbing the mountains on ski lifts or daringly swinging down into the valley on freeride routes, you can set off and enjoy the peace and romance of the snow-covered winter landscape on a winter hike. On winter hiking tours, you can immerse yourself in nature and enjoy the tranquillity and fantastic views of the surrounding mountains.

Ski tours with summits and powder snow

Ski touring is slowly but surely becoming the number one trend sport in winter.

If you want to approach this sport with real ambition, climb the mountains under your own steam and then make a fresh track in the virgin slope.
The Hohe Tauern National Park region is made for ski touring and is home to some of the most famous and sought-after ski touring areas in the Eastern Alps.

Snowshoeing - the right tour for every taste

Leave the hustle and bustle of everyday life behind and enjoy the wintry surroundings in all their splendor and naturalness.

Whether on a mountain or across the valley: an exploration tour with snowshoes through the landscape of the Hohe Tauern National Park region is both fun and impressive; the region and the surrounding mountains are considered the largest winter hiking area in the Alps. It's hardly surprising that there are virtually no limits to snowshoeing here.
If you like, you can follow the tracks of ibexes, chamois and snow hares on a guided ranger tour.
